Quotation and proposal drafter

Builds a first-draft quote or proposal from a short brief, the current price list and three to five past winning proposals, with a placeholder for every unknown and every assumption listed at the top for a person to check.

Is this you?

Do your quotes take more than a day to go out, or do you find pricing mistakes after they are sent?Yes, that’s us. Build it →Not really. Show me the next one

What it does, step by step

  1. 1A brief is entered: client, scope, quantities, timeline, special terms
  2. 2Prices and standard terms are fetched from the current price list
  3. 3Matching sections are selected from past winning proposals
  4. 4The draft is written into the company template
  5. 5Every unknown becomes a visible placeholder, never a guess
  6. 6An assumptions list is written at the top
  7. 7A person reviews, fills placeholders and finalises

What you’ll learn building it

  • Turn a price list and past proposals into material an agent can use
  • Make every unknown a visible placeholder, never a guess
  • List the assumptions at the top so a person checks them first

What you’ll need

A current price list with an effective date on itThree to five past winning proposals, cleaned of confidential materialA proposal template the whole team uses

Where it goes wrong

If the price list is out of date the agent quotes the wrong number faster and more confidently. The drafter only moves speed; accuracy still comes from whoever owns the price list.

One example

A 15-person CCTV and access-control integrator in Nagpur quotes 20 to 30 jobs a month for housing societies and small factories. The owner cleaned three winning proposals, exported the price list from Zoho Books with an effective date, and built the drafter in Zoho Writer. A brief of six lines now returns a formatted quote with an assumptions list (cable lengths, power points, AMC terms). time from site visit to sent quote fell from three days to the same evening, and two pricing errors were caught by the assumptions list in month one.
